• “Checking In Brings Hope — One Message Can Save a Life.”

Check-In is a story about life, loss, and the responsibility we have to one another. After losing my brother to suicide, I began asking hard questions: What did I miss? What could I have done differently? This book explores the warning signs we often overlook and offers practical ways to check in on the people we love. Because one conversation can make all the difference.

The site will focus on mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and the simple but powerful act of checking in on the people around us. It will include resources, practical tools, speaking information, and ways to get involved. Target launch date: June 1.

  • The Story

This book began with a question I can never fully answer.

    What did I miss?

When my brother died by suicide, my world changed in an instant. In the weeks and months that followed, I replayed conversations, moments, and memories over and over. I wasn’t looking for blame. I was searching for understanding.

#CheckIn was born out of that search.

This page shares the story behind the book — not just the loss, but the lessons, the wake-up calls, and the responsibility we all carry to notice when someone we love may be struggling.
